With nearly 1.2 million residents, Travis County is the fifth-most populous county in Texas – the second most populous state in the U.S. Travis County is home to the state capital, Austin, and the University of Texas.redaction software travis county Working through their solution provider, Imagesoft, the County purchased an enterprise license of Hyland OnBase in 2014 to be deployed countywide. To improve customer service, government transparency and efficiency while securing sensitive information in their documents, the County felt it was critical to provide proven automated redaction software as part of their document management workflow. Several key departments including the County Clerk, District Clerk, County Attorney and District Attorney will be the first to deploy ID Shield.

The combined day-forward volume of all four departments is 8 million pages annually.  The County and District Clerks go live with ID Shield in the coming weeks, followed shortly by the County Attorney and District Attorney offices later in 2016.  In addition to the large day-forward volume, the District Clerk will be redacting 24 million pages of historical documents in-house as they prepare to make document available online.

Travis County needed a solution that enabled them to manage the redaction workload with existing resources. Extract's ID Shield Redaction Software is designed to process historical documents concurrently with day-forward submissions and is the most accurate and widely-used redaction software in the country.

Travis County was most impressed with Extract's demonstrated ability to automate the redaction process, its extensive list of OnBase customers using ID Shield Intelligent Redaction Software, as well as its success deploying solutions in other Texas County offices, including Dallas, Midland and Potter Counties.
