My high school typing teacher would be disappointed with my current ‘Hunt and Peck’ approach to data entry. I know the keyboard pretty well, but still have to look at it to make sure I don’t make mistakes. A lot has changed since I learned to type – White Out and correction tape are no longer required. However, mistakes or incorrect index data can make it impossible for users to find records.
