What one medical director saw that shocked her

Last week at a healthcare trade event, a director of a top program (I’ll call her Sandy – not her real name.) witnessed something so shocking that it nearly brought her to tears...of joy.health-information-innovation.png

Like most healthcare professionals, Sandy has simply been too busy to notice how the world of health information technology is changing.  As a result, her program has continued to operate under a costly assumption for years that they had no better alternatives to their current information management methods.

Sandy couldn’t have been more wrong.  Unfortunately this common mistake has potentially cost her program hundreds of thousands of dollars and put her patients at increased risk.

As she witnessed this astounding innovation, in less than two minutes she realized that her team has wasted countless hours doing ‘clerical’ work instead of focusing on more important initiatives like quality improvement and outreach.

While her name has been changed to protect her and her program’s identity, the rest of the story is true.  To see what Sandy saw, click the button below.
